Vietnam In Focus is thrilled to announce the launch of our photo contest: “Vietnam Street Life”. This contest invites both amateur and professional photographers, Vietnamese locals and international enthusiasts alike, to share their unique perspectives on the vibrant street life that defines the heart and soul of Vietnam.
Contest Theme: “Vietnam Street Life”
From the bustling roads of Hanoi Old Quarter to the tranquil alleyways of Hoi An, Vietnam’s streets are alive with stories waiting to be told. We’re looking for photographs that capture the essence of street life in Vietnam, including its people, architecture, food, and daily rituals. Show us Vietnam through your eyes, and share your stories of encounters, moments, and scenes played out in the public sphere.
Who Can Enter
Open to all photographers: both Vietnamese nationals and foreigners.
No restrictions on professional status: we welcome entries from both professionals and amateurs.

Voting and Judging
Facebook Interaction (30% of Total Score): Every entry will be posted on our official Facebook page as soon as received. Engage your friends and followers to like, comment, and share your photo. Scoring will be based on Facebook interactions (1 like = 1 point, 1 comment = 2 points, 1 share = 3 points).
Judges’ Score (70% of Total Score): Our panel of esteemed judges, composed of experienced photographers and industry experts, will evaluate each photo based on creativity, originality, and how well it communicates the theme of “Vietnam Street Life.”

The submission period begins on April 1st 2024 and ends at 23:59 May 31st 2024 (Indochina Time GMT+7).
The voting period ends at 23:59 June 15th 2024 (Indochina Time GMT+7).
The winner will be announced on July 1st 2024 (Indochina Time GMT+7).
Submission Guidlines
- Eligibility:
- The photography contest is open to photographers of all skill levels, both amateur and professional.
- Participants can be of any nationality and residence.
- Participants must be at least 18 years old or of legal age in their respective country of residence.
- Theme and Subject:
- The contest revolves around the theme of “Vietnam Street Life”.
- Submissions should demonstrate creativity, technical proficiency, and a strong connection to the chosen theme.
- Submission Format:
- Only digital entries will be accepted.
- Each participant can submit one (1) photograph only.
- Images must be in JPEG format with a minimum resolution of 3000 pixels on the longest side.
- File size should not exceed 10MB per image.
- No watermarks or borders should be present on the photographs.
- Minor digital enhancement is permitted, but images that have been significantly modified or appear unnatural will be disqualified.
- How to Submit:
- Submissions must be made through the Google Form on our website via this link: https://forms.gle/k89P7fBVhZUMp7U59
- Complete the online submission form, providing accurate and relevant information.
- Upload your high-resolution photographs as separate files, clearly labeled with the image titles.
- Include a one sentence description for each photograph.
- Copyright and Usage:
- By participating in the contest, participants retain the rights to their photographs.
- However, participants grant the contest organizers a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the submitted images for promotional purposes, including online galleries, social media, and promotional materials related to the contest, while giving proper credit to the photographers.
- Deadline:
- The submission deadline for the contest is May 31st 2024 at 23:59 (Indochina Time GMT+7).
- Late entries will not be accepted.
- Scoring and Judging:
Every entry photos will be posted on our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/VietnamInFocus. The total score for each entry will be a combination of two components:
- Facebook Interaction (30%): Public engagement through our Facebook page will contribute to 30% of the total score. Each Facebook interaction with the photo will be awarded points as follows: 1 like = 1 point, 1 comment = 2 points, 1 share = 3 points
- Judges’ Score (70%): The judges’ evaluation will account for 70% of the total score. To ensure a fair and professional assessment, the panel will score each photograph based on the following criteria: Creativity and Originality, Relevance to Theme, Composition and Technique, and Emotional Impact.
- Results:
- In every circumstance, the decision from Vietnam In Focus will be final and cannot be appealed.
- Winners will be notified via email and announced on the contest website and official social media channels on July 1st 2024.
