Journalism, Documentary, and Street Photographer
Giang Pham is a photojournalist and writer based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. He has a BA in International Relations and a MA in Journalism, Media and Globalization from Denmark and Germany. With such background accompanied with a passion in visual story-telling, he has been covering Vietnamese contemporary issues and development projects across Vietnam and Europe. He believes in the strong impact of visuality on people’s awareness and the value of image as a creative medium to tell stories.
His work can be found in various media outlets such as the South China Morning Post, VICE or Agencia EFE, etc. covering features and human-interest stories in Vietnam in various topics from domestic migration of labors in rural areas to ethic minorities culture preservation. He has also collaborated with organisations such as CARE International, ActionAid, Goethe Institute or the British Council on storytelling assignments from youth education, climate change adaption to calamity emergency response, agricultural livelihood development and so on.
Giang is also a keen documentary and street photographer. He has published several books and participated in many exhibitions in Vietnam and other countries.
